Water Main Break Disrupts Service on Main Street

A water main break at the intersection of Main and Greenwood streets cut off service to nearby customers late this week, with Boylston Water District crews working to restore supply as the town's fall town-wide yard sale brought residents out to Main Street the same day.

TOWN HALL The Boylston Water District issued an alert for a water main break at Main and Greenwood Street, telling affected customers that service would be restored "ASAP" as crews responded to the repair.

Separately, Boylston Parks and Recreation held its town-wide yard sale Saturday, Sept. 19, with core hours from 9 a.m. to noon, though individual sellers were free to stay open longer. A rain date is set for Sunday, Sept. 20. Maps showing sale locations were available online and in hard copy at Town Hall, the Council on Aging and the Boylston Public Library.

COMMUNITY & ARTS The Boylston Public Library is preparing its annual Fall Fest on the Common, set for Saturday, Sept. 26, from 2 to 5 p.m. The library also announced its Seed Library has closed for the season; residents interested in donating seeds for next year are asked to contact Assistant Director Anix at anix@cwmars.org.
